Registrations for a birth certificate have to be handled in 21 days after the child is born. When getting through the process, the following documents have to be submitted
● Proof regarding the place of birth (where the child was born) from the hospital.
● Parent’s identity proof.
● Marriage certificate of the parent, optional.

However, if there are delays and the process takes more than 21 days for the registration, there are some additional documents needed including an affidavit and depending on the length of the delay, a police verification.

Applicants have to make sure they are residing in the right District to be using the right website or submitting the proper application to the correct authorities. All births, deaths and stillbirths have to be registered, and the registration process is mandatory by law.
