The Government created a website for the people to apply and receive their Himachal Pradesh birth certificate. Although the Himachal Pradesh birth certificate process is simple and straightforward, there are various websites that applicants have to choose from depending on the part of the state where they reside.
However, the Government created a public website for the people of Himachal Pradesh and added several others processes, including applying for Income Certificates, Character Certificates, Legal Heirs Certificates, Indigent (Needy Person) Certificates, Freedom Fighter Certificates, OBC Certificates, Rural Area Certificates, Minority Certificates and so much more.
Additionally, the Himachal Pradesh Government created the Himachal Online Seva which allows people to get through various processes by creating an account on the website. They can use this same account for interacting with the website and the authorities for the various other processes that they might need to be handled in future. They can download the forms they would need depending on the application process, including getting a Himachal Pradesh birth certificate, especially if they do not want to get through the process online. Getting a Himachal Pradesh birth certificate online is quite simple since multiple offices can assist with the process offline including with the Gram Panchayat or the Municipality, and online with the Government website or the Common Service Center.
Registrations for a birth certificate have to be handled in 21 days after the child is born. When getting through the process, the following documents have to be submitted
● Proof regarding the place of birth (where the child was born) from the hospital.
● Parent’s identity proof.
● Marriage certificate of the parent, optional.
However, if there are delays and the process takes more than 21 days for the registration, there are some additional documents needed including an affidavit and depending on the length of the delay, a police verification.
Applicants have to make sure they are residing in the right District to be using the right website or submitting the proper application to the correct authorities. All births, deaths and stillbirths have to be registered, and the registration process is mandatory by law.
If an applicant is applying for a Himachal Pradesh birth certificate, they have to submit their forms to the Commissioner of the corporation, or the Sub Divisional Magistrate, depending on where they reside. Depending on whether an individual stays in the urban or rural parts of Himachal Pradesh, they can get through the process through the Gram Panchayat or the local Municipality. For more information about the process, applicants can go through the links below. They can even visit the websites and download the forms or use them to upload all their details and have the website handle the process on their behalf.
